Skin Care

In addition to the many plastic surgery procedures that Dr. Levine offers, his office also has a licensed aesthetician on board to accommodate your skin care needs. We offer complimentary analysis of the health of your skin and helpful interactive advice to maximize the benefit of professional skin care.

As we age, our faces begin to show the effects of gravity, sun exposure and years of facial muscle movement, such as smiling, chewing and squinting. The underlying tissues that keep our skin looking youthful and plumped up begin to break down, often leaving laugh lines, smile lines, crow’s feet or facial creases over the areas where this muscle movement occurs. We also experience an increase in discoloration and loss of proper skin tone and texture.

Our licensed aesthetician has many years experience with improving the look and feel of the face. Please give us a call for an initial consultation at (210) 614-2747.

Skin Care Services:

Micro Peel

A micro peel involves the application of a light chemical to exfoliate your skin. This procedure will help improve the softness and brightness of your skin. Additionally, micro peels will help diminish large pores and discoloration of the skin. Additional treatments along with a comprehensive skin care program are recommended to experience the best results.

TCA Peel

A TCA (trichloro acetic acid) peel is a more aggressive chemical peel technique used to improve the overall texture and tone of your skin. Since a TCA peel uses a more potent chemical than a micro peel, you will most likely experience more drastic results, however, your skin will need more recovery time before revealing a fresh, new look.

Microdermabrasion is a skin-freshening technique that helps repair facial skin that takes a beating from the sun and the effects of aging. A fine sandblaster-like device is used to spray tiny crystals across the face, combining gentle abrasion with suction to remove the problem areas of the outer layer of your skin. As with other skin rejuvenation techniques, more than one treatment may be needed to reduce or remove fine wrinkles and unwanted pigmentation.

Lymphatic drainage

A manual lymphatic drain is a massage therapy technique used to help assist and increase movement of fluid in lymphatic vessels and body tissue. This technique is ideal for before or after your plastic surgery to decrease the recovery period and improve blood flow.

Fat grafting

Fat grafting is the process of removing small amounts of unwanted fat from certain areas of the face or body, and then using that fat to enhance other features. Many people choose fat grafting to enhance the look of their lips, cheeks, chin and several other parts of the face or body.

Botox® is a popular non-surgical injection that temporarily reduces or eliminates frown lines, forehead creases, crows feet near the eyes and thick bands in the neck. The toxin blocks the nerve impulses, temporarily paralyzing the muscles that cause wrinkles while giving the skin a smoother, more refreshed appearance. Studies have also suggested that Botox is effective in relieving migraine headaches, excessive sweating and muscle spasms in the neck and eyes.

Injectables help fill in lines and creases in the face, temporarily restoring a smoother, more youthful-looking appearance. When injected beneath the skin, these fillers plump up creased and sunken areas of the face. They can also add fullness to the lips and cheeks. Injectable fillers may be used alone or in conjunction with a resurfacing procedure, or a recontouring procedure, such as a facelift.
